CATEGORIES -  STOCK ACTION  PORTFOLIOS  
TEKnalysis relies mainly on large reputable organizations for information, advice and tools.  These are DTNIQ, Metastock, NASDAQ, Standard & Poor's (S & P), Investor's Business Daily (IBD) and VectorVest.
      

• Market Indices  are displayed as WATCH (don't invest), BUY (date), HOLD until sell is indicated and SELL (liquidate).  One's equity prospect that is represented as part of an index listed should be treated with the sentiment expressed by the related index. In short, don't buck the trend. The individual stocks are timed as either one of the following: SELL/WATCH, BUY ALERT, BUY HOLD or SELL ALERT. The Dow 30  INDEX took sixteen years to crash 1000. During that period , some mutual funds doubled and tripled. Watching the Dow may be dangerous to your wealth.
   

• Mid Cap Stocks  Introduced in 1991, the S&P MidCap 400 is now the most widely used index for mid-sized companies. Today, mid caps are being recognized as an independent asset class, with risk/reward profiles that differ considerably from both large caps and small caps. The S&P MidCap 400 covers over 7% of the U.S. equities market, and is part of a series of S&P U.S. indices that can be used as building blocks for portfolio construction.
  
   

• Large Cap/Integrated Stocks are based on relative timing criteria.  These  issues  are  in  the top twenty  in  relative timing of the STANDARD & POOR  500,  IBD Global 15, plus IBD BIGCAP 20.  This vetting is done weekly.  Thereafter, the TEKnalysis timing factors are applied.
  
   

• VectorVest/VST Top 40 Select -  Stocks from the top 40 of VectorVest VST and includes those suggested by subscribers.
  
   

•  IBD Top 40 Integ Select - These  issues are  among the top 40 of the  IBD TOP 200 COMPOSITE  & the IBD 85/85 STOCKS       
  IBD-85-85   All Stocks above $10, within 15% of a 12-month high, Earnings Per Share (EPS) Rating and Relative Price Strength (RS) Rating of 85 or   more and average daily volume of 10,000 or more are shown.
  
   

• ETF Trades has selections of ETF's both long and short that demonstrate strong channeling buy and sell response.
  
  

CATEGORIES - ETF  STRATEGIES
Evidentiary market performance indicates that stocks move largely by asset class [large, mid and small cap stocks-bonds and/or industries (sectors)]. It is possible to group participate by acquiring ETF's and/or IShares (please see, "What Are IShares?"). The industry IShares are essentially static portfolios chosen by financial firms or news services.
